Changes at Bodog.eu

As of January 1, 2012, Bovada will become the new name of Bodog.eu, one of the leading sports sites on the web. Morris Mohawk Gaming Group (MMGG), the sole licensee of the “Bodog” brand for online gaming services in the U.S., is rebranding the site because its license with BodogBrand.com is set to expire on December 31, 2011. Online sports bettors can read our review of Bovada here.

So what does this mean for online sports bettors and fans of Bodog.eu? Not much. Even though the site will feature a new name, it is believed to offer players the same products and services previously provided by Bodog.eu, including the same owners, software, customer service, account information, and poker network. Fans of Bodog.eu will not have to change their accounts or find another online sports betting site. This is great news for account holders as well as people who want to learn more about online sports betting.

Back in November, Bodog announced that it was expanding it services to the UK gambling market. The Bodog Brand provides online users with online gaming, music and other entertainment properties. What is so great about Bodog? It is regarded in the industry as one of the top online gambling sites. In January 2010, it was rated the strongest online gambling site on the web by independent gaming consultant Josh Apiafi. The independent researcher used Google to test the brand strength of the top 10 gambling sites. Coming in at first place, Bodog beat popular sites such as PokerStars, Betfair, Paddy Power and Ladbrokes, to name a few.
